by booker-t ini absolutely love watching the animal channel and just observing the animal kingdom has really brought up some serious questions for any devout anti-gay religions such as born-again christians(bacs) and jws.
some animals such as deers practice lesbianism when there is no male deer around.
i almost fell out of my chair when watching this.

Hoser... Yes... Just because a gunshot to the head fixed someone's OCD, that doesn't mean that OCD sufferers should shoot themselves in the head. Likewise, just because some JWs survived the perils of higher education, that doesn't mean that we should seek higher education...
The only thing more disturbing about this continuously recycled analogy by Losch is that JWs actually believe it's logical...

note the all-too-familiar jw claims: everything they do (including the simple act of parking cars) is proof of jehovah'stm blessing, and everything wt did at the convention was the fastest, greatest, best ever.
oh, and the never-fails-to-get-mentioned alleged 'persecution'/resistance from some unnamed authority who tried to get in watchtower's way and hamper the effort...but jws prevailed anyway (as always):.

Suicide - How many do you know within the JWs

one interesting but truly tragic is the number of jwhovah's witnesses who commit suicie.. now i suspect that if a person commits suicide shortly before or after they are disfellowshipped then the elders would say that person wasn't a witness or that they had done something so terrible that they were too guilty to admit it and by their action of committing suicide they pretty much declared they were no longer a jw.. yup fancy talk to make sure any crap didn't fall on them.. so my question.. do you know of cases like this?
if so then can you answer a few more questions.. had this person been dfed or in real danger of being dfed or whatever the equivalent is if they were never baptized?.

inactive ones going back...
by monis1 ini have quite a big group of friends who were all in the cong together when we were teens.
about 75% of them stopped going or were df'd right after high school.
it is a varied group; a couple are staunch apostates, some dont care one way or another, and another handfull are fully "worldly", but still believe it is the truth.

i am asking this question because jehovah's witnesses claim they have "the best way of life", "god's blessing", "the truth" and are trying to change the habits of healthy people by turning them in to their own makings.
i watched people who were great athletes turn all their muscle in to fat because we would get a elder or circuit overseer make remarks they were spending too much time "working out" and "bodily training is beneficial for little".

I asked an obese fast-food loving elder/pioneer once: "What's worse? Smoking 1 or 2 cigarettes a week or consuming high-cholesterol fast-food almost daily?"
(I was really taking a stab at him because he was on the JC that disfellowshipped a newly baptized publisher for smoking even though this elder couldn't stay away from all the pastry and burger establishments himself... the poor publisher was in his 40's and was really trying hard to quit smoking but simply couldn't... it happens)
The elder didn't say a word for a few seconds (just a blank stare). Then, all he could think of to say was: "We'll talk about this later." Of course, he never approached me after that. In fact, he stayed away from me as much as possible which was great!
